Joe Mcloughlin.

I started my career in executive search in the UK, working across professional services, consulting and technology, before heading to the University of Liverpool to study Marketing and Business Management. After graduating, I took on a General Manager role at a quick-service venue in Manchester, where I turned a loss-making business profitable within a year. Managing the P&L, team and day-to-day operations taught me a lot about taking ownership, something I bring to recruitment today.

When I moved to Perth, I wanted to get back into recruitment, and Clarity Partners felt like the right fit. I now specialise in Health, Safety and Environment recruitment, working with businesses across mining, resources, energy and infrastructure. I recruit HSE professionals from Advisors through to Superintendents and senior leadership, across permanent and contract roles.

What I enjoy most is getting to know candidates properly, understanding what they're looking for in their next move, and connecting them with opportunities that genuinely fit. I also enjoy the autonomy at Clarity and being part of a growing team where everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their market.

Originally from Manchester, I moved to Perth with my girlfriend and a couple of close mates. Football has always been a big part of my life. I came through the Sheffield United and Manchester City academies and represented England Schoolboys at Under-16 level. These days, you'll usually find me in the gym, watching sport or exploring WA on the weekends.
