The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding resources business, working within a high-performing finance team and gaining broad exposure across financial reporting, tax, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounting and technical accounting.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the Group's financial reporting and accounting functions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparing accurate financial and management reports
- Taking responsibility for tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Preparing and analysing budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Supporting statutory and ASX reporting
- Assisting with half-year and full-year reporting
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
- Managing and supporting external audit processes
- Assisting with technical accounting matters and Australian Accounting Standards
- Working across a complex multi-entity environment
- Providing financial analysis and insights to senior stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
- Contributing to finance projects and other ad hoc commercial initiatives
About You
We are looking for a CA/CPA qualified Senior Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
Ideally, you will have:
- CA/CPA qualification
- 5+ years’ relevant accounting experience
- Experience within a listed, mining or resources environment
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge
- Experience across tax, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with month-end, statutory reporting and external audit
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with ASX reporting, group consolidations and complex multi-entity environments will be highly regarded.
